Sunday Game 1 vs. North Coast Spirit: A bad defensive 1st inning spotted the Spirit a 4-0 lead. Power got 2 runs back in the 3rd on a walk to Korey Freyermuth and singles by Emily Freisleben and Jamie Mittelmeier. Abby Nichter started the rally in the 4th with a tape measure homerun that went so far, the plate umpire said “he hasn't seen anyone from Pittsburgh hit one that far since Willie Stargell”. The Power batted around and put up 6 more runs on the board including a three run shot by Megan Killgallon. Abby Nichter was perfect the rest of the way in a 9-4 comeback Power win.
Sunday Game 2 vs. Chain Reaction Black: The game was scoreless until the 5th when a bunt single by Sarah Angeletti, a sacrifice by Kristin Kaminski and a BIG 2-out single by Tara Waldo, produced the only run in a 1-0 Power win. They defense behind her was excellent too, including a great catch by Korey Freyermuth who jumped and reached over the 3rd base dugout fence to end the 6th inning. A great stop by Kimmy Jones at second base ended the game.
