Butler 10U Takes 3rd Annual Batting for Lydia Tournament


{pop_team:2013:Butler:10U}Pittsburgh Power Butler 10 U{/pop_team:2013:Butler:10U} Won the 3rd Annual Batting for Lydia Tournament on May 18th in Hermitage. Team Butler faced challenging competition but emerged victorious going undefeated with 3-0 record in the double elimination Tournament.


The team started the day with a 13-0 win over the Lakeland hurricanes. {pop_player:Lauren:Sutton}Lauren Sutton{/pop_player:Lauren:Sutton} homered in the 2nd inning, driving in three RBIs for the Pittsburgh Power Butler. {pop_player:Ashley:Deweese}Ashley Deweese{/pop_player:Ashley:Deweese} was a beast on the mound. Lakeland Hurricanes managed just one hit off the Pittsburgh Power Butler?s pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out 10 during four innings of hard work.

Game 2 did not disappoint, as Team Butler won against the Silver Creek Stars 13-1.
